Shadilver - Jumpstart Chapter 2

So yeah.. we're here now..

I am currently heading towards his house for the... honestly I lost count..I think I've been going there for 4 weeks? I don't really remember anymore. Going to Shadow's house is something I do NOT look forward to..

I mean it.. it's like signing your own death certificate when you stay there.. or even be within a 10 mile radius from it. It's just THAT scary

*sigh* Well, I could only hope that he would be cooperative with me today

....

Who am I kidding? That would never happen..hehehe.. *sigh*

I slowly opened the door.. NOT because I was scared- okay maybe I was a little bit scared- but also because I was carrying my textbooks. Don't get me wrong, some of them were thick! 

"Shadow... I'm here now-" I was greeted with a bullet shooting past me. Shadow was glaring at me, and his pistol was pointing at my direction

"WHAT THE HELL SHADOW?!?! YOU COULD'VE KILLED ME!!" I hissed.. And all I received as a reply was a simple 'hmph' from him. God! why can't he talk normally for once? I've tried to be nice to him but nothing is working! You'd think he'd appreciate the help but noooooooo.... Mr. I'm the Ultimate LIfeform blahblahblah I don't need help from you inferior beings blahblahbluuh!! is just too good for anyone. Grrrr.. it just annoys- no.. not just annoy.. IT PISSES THE FUCK OUT OF ME!


why did I let Amy talk me into this??


"Well?" he spoke
    "Well what?"
    "what business do you have here?" he said in a manner that just.... i can't even describe it anymore.. I've run out of words to describe him..


was he being serious? did he just asked me what I was doing there??


I breathed in slowly and deeply to calm down my nerves. I need to be patient with this guy. What was the thing that our teacher's told us? that most patient would be uncooperative because they themselves wouldn't admit their disability? I don't know if that applies to Shadow because he's already extremely hard-headed even before the accident, but I do need to learn to be patient with people; it's a mandatory requirement in my course. I let out a long sigh before I answered him.

"I dunno Shadow, what DO you think I am doing here?" another scoff from him. I set my textbooks down on the coffee table and stood infront of him. I had to look down because he was sitting on a wheelchair, which made him smaller. It felt kinda good being taller than him.

"You need my help Shadow.. I know you don't like the idea, but if you want to be freed from that cast" I pointed at his cast-covered leg "You need to listen to me, okay?"

"NONONONONONONONO!!!!! DON'T DO THAT!!!" I frantically yelled at him. "Dammit Shadow! don't force your leg!"
    "The sooner I can condition my leg, the sooner I can remove this cast and the sooner you can leave me!" 
    "you're only making it worst!! Your leg's gonna be staying in a cast longer if you force it! Do you want that?"
    "I want to be alone!"

I couldn't say anything else. He is beyond stubborn. My head was aching and I was exhausted. I sat down on his couch and groaned. Then I remembered why I brought my textbooks with me

"Fine, do what you want." I opened one of my book in psychology and began reading. I nearly forgot I had a test tomorrow on this subject because of Shadow.

Did I mention that I have a scholarship? So yeah, I really need to keep my grades up. And it's pretty tiring trying to stay ahead of everyone in my class, especially if a certain black and red hedgehog is bent on making your life a miserable hell.

I felt the couch sink when another weight was added, but I didn't bother to look up, I already knew who it was.

"What are you doing?" Shadow asked.
    "Studying"
    "why?"

His question made me look at him. Seriously? "Because I have a test and I don't want to fail. Does it makes sense?"

He shrugged and grabbed a book of his own, a novel maybe? I didn't recognize the title "I see.." came his short reply.


The silence followed but none of us bothered to break it. It was actually pretty comforting, being quiet like this, since my classroom and classmates are like children high on sugar rush. Sure, they could be quiet, but not quiet enough since I had to focus with my studies. I looked at my watch and cursed. I turned my head and saw my patient who seems to be hooked on the book he was reading. I didn't want to bother him from his peace, but I had to. So I poked his hand to get his attention

"Uhh.. Shadow.." He looked at me "You need to drink your medicine now." I saw how his eyes lit up with dislike. He HATED the medicine.

Welp, I managed to make him drink it. 


I don't know how much more I can take..


I was just beyond exhausted now. I was just glad that the day was over and I could finally rest in my small apartment.

"finally, I am home" I literally just dropped my books on my table and sank myself to the couch. "I missed you couch!" I said as I hugged my pillow. No, I don't sleep on the couch, the couch is just a bit comfier than my bed. I unbuttoned my uniform and removed my pants, leaving me in only my white sando and boxers(I don't even know why I bothered to wear undergarments). I didn't bother to pick the clothes up and place it in my basket of dirty laundry, I just wanted to sleep right there and then. Then I heard my phone vibrating (my ears are just that sharp okay?) so I grabbed my cellphone from my pants.

I remember the day Sonic asked for my phone number (it's NOT what you are thinking! jeez, you crazy yaoi fangirls and your fantasies) and asked him what a cellphone was. His eyes widened so much I thought they were going to pop out of his head! So he grabbed me and literally dragged me to the cellphone store then called Tails to help him explain what a cellphone was. hehehe.. remembering that day always makes me smile.

"hello?" I answered
    "Silver?" came Amy's voice
    "what is it?" 
    "Well, I kinda left my book at my locker, so is it okay if you tutor me tomorrow?"
    "But Amy, we aren't classmates, we got separated remember?" I heard her sigh on the other end
    "I know but we also have a test on psych tomorrow too! please??"

She just knows I can't say no.. "Alright Amy, I'll help you"

"great! Thanks Silver!! See you tomorrow morning then!" then she hung up.

I stared at my ceiling. At least tomorrow I don't have to be in Shadow's house. That was one thing I was thankful for,
